Painting from my personal studies. A master study of 'Grand Manan' by Bricher. My approach to painting this very elaborate piece involved breaking it down into smaller studies. At first glance, I thought this would be very straightforward as the subject matter is not very complex. I was very wrong as the complexity in the treatment of water and the sand alone took me several attempts till I was happy with it. I learned a lot from this one.
